John 21:18-25 In this final segment in the Gospel of John, Jesus gives instructions to Peter about his future, and the author gives final explanations concerning his writing.

John 21:15-19 Jesus not only forgave Peter for his three denials, but also restored him to ministry and service.

John 21:1-14 Jesus confirms that He is sovereign, and that He will continue to care for His followers.

John 20:24-31 Jesus tenderly deals with Thomas—a man who was a sincere and loyal disciple—to help him put his gloom and pessimism aside and to clearly confess that the Risen Christ was his Lord and his God.

John 20:22-23 The gospel mission requires the Spirit’s empowerment, so Jesus gave the disciples an object lesson about the Spirit’s eventual coming on the Day of Pentecost.

John 20:19-21 Jesus miraculously materialized in the room where His followers were hiding out. There He proved His identity, and commissioned His followers to the gospel mission.

John 20:11-18 Mary Magdalene had the great privilege of telling the Apostles that she had seen the risen Jesus. And her announcement included the news about the ascension, and their status as ‘brothers’ of Jesus.

John 20:1-10 Three of Jesus’ followers faced the disturbing discovery that Jesus’ body was missing from His tomb.

John 19:31-42 Jesus’ burial proved His death, and set the stage for His resurrection.

John 19:28-30 On the cross Jesus cried, ‘It is finished,’ because He had completed ALL that is necessary for His people to be saved from their sin.
