John 5:1-15 Jesus’ healing of the invalid by the pool in Jerusalem confronted the legalism of the Jewish leaders.

John 4:43-54 Jesus’ healing of a royal official’s son ended up prompting saving faith in this father. This passage is a reminder therefore that genuine faith is the indispensable element of the gospel, and that proclamation of the gospel is at the center of Jesus’ mission on earth…which means it is the church’s mission.

John 4:27-42 Devoting ourselves to fulfilling God’s will, along with devoting ourselves to sowing seeds of the gospel, are evidences of being born again.

John 4:16-26 Genuine Christians are those who worship God sincerely from the heart, who worship according to the truth of Scripture, and who worship in Christ.

John 4:1-15 Only in Jesus is the thirst of the soul completely satisfied.

John 3:31-36 What a person makes of Jesus and His teaching is the great ‘spiritual dividing line’—acceptance results in eternal life; rejection results in condemnation remaining forever.

John 3:22-30 In John the Baptist we find an example of humility, contentment, a Christ-focus, and trust in God’s sovereignty.

John 3:19-21 Spiritually speaking, people either love darkness (sin and error) or love light (Christ and truth). Those who love the darkness, which means they reject Christ, will face eternal judgment and condemnation; those who love the light, which means they trust in Christ, have joy and the promise of eternal life.

John 3:16-18 It is God’s pity and compassion for lost mankind that is the basis for Him sending His one-of-a-kind Son on His redemptive mission.

John 3:9-15 Genuine trust in Christ as Lord and Savior is the evidence that someone has been regenerated by God.
